Raley Family DNA Project

In the hope of achieving a greater understanding of the connection between the various "limbs" of the Raley clan we have established a Raley DNA project.

One of the early results was learning that two descendants of Benjamin M. Raley born June 24, 1818 in Washington County, Georgia and died October 17, 1895 in Washington County, Florida are a DNA match to Richard R. Raley a descendant of Samuel Raley born abt. 1796 in SC.

We hope someone who can trace their family limb back farther than 1796 will join the project and perhaps show even more direct connections.

In addition to finding more genetic cousins the DNA tests can tell you much about the origin of the family and your mothers ancestry as well. I understand that the heritage of a mother can be traced back to one of the seven daughters of Eve.
